I think that TV is possessed by a demon.

“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book” (Groucho Marx)

With a vocabulary like his, you’d think Calvin was a voracious reader. They don’t use two-dollar words like that on
TV, except perhaps BBC imports on PBS….

Wait twenty years, Calvin. You’ll look back on this moment with nostalgia!

I’ve been reading the Calvin and Hobbes strips from the beginning and in the early strips, Calvin’s TV rested firmly on the stand. I am curious about when the TV started jumping around.

This is a good cartoon, even though Hobbes’ absent.

Careful Calvin, in the litigious times in which we live Dad may very well sue you. Such a suit would not be any more frivolous than some that have been filed recently.

Maybe the family got the TV from Bloom County which would chase Opus around telling him to order 1,000 turnip twaddlers.

I used to love Walter Cronkite’s 20th Century. I was fascinated by the war footage and realizing it was only a few years before I was born.
