Oh bad parents, you must love your son always!! That’s obvious, there is nothing else!!
Wishful thinking on Mom and Dad’s part.
@bizaker:How do you feel about raw food vegans??
Why bring it up, then?
Hang on to your hats folks!
In my head I can hear cheezy tinny cartoon Tango music they are dancing to.
Anybody else remember Disney Channel’s “Weekenders”? Reminds me very much of Tino’s mom’s cooking.
Sometimes you’re the Eater,sometimes you’re the Eaten!
Vegetarians taste funny.
wdpeck….We may tickle going down, but,we’re very nutritious, and low in fat!
there are some foods that should never be prepared. liver and onions, gefilte fish, haggis, menudo, escargot, etc,,,,
See Calvin — you need to eat it so it doesn’t eat you first.
It’s not easy being green.
My aunt cooked like this at one time. My uncle called them her “delectible delights” (said with heavy sarcastic tone and eye roll) and it’s been a standard term for rehashed leftovers ever since.
Don’t eat it, Calvin!!
That depends, though, on whether they’re doing Argentine Tango, International Standard Tango, or American Smooth Tango. In the latter two styles, the arm leads never change, but in the former, they can (but the lead/follow never changes, unless it’s old-school male/male Argentine Tango, the way the dance was originally done before it was introduced to the bordellos of Buenos Aires in about 1920). That said, I also noticed the correct use of heel leads in Promenade position. While they might not win Dancing with the Stars, Calvin’s parents would certainly win points for that bit of technical correctness.
Have you read For Better or For Worse today? Also a spinach reference. ROFLOL
I see and hear Gomez and Morticia of Addams Family. Someone get dad a cigar!
The pile of green must be related to the Tardis!
Calvin is always eating some pile of green mess. He looks terrible in the first panel. Ugh. Poor thing. His imagination is going to kill him some day.
I actually agree with you. Unfortunately sarcasm doesn’t always translate in written form, but I am saying this is not a political comic, and given the comments of the past several days, I had hoped to just get that all out of the way from the beginning so that we can all move on and just enjoy the comic.
what is all that green stuff? Whirled peas?
“As a child my family’s menu consisted of two choices: take it or leave it.” Buddy Hackett
in the last panel it should be " if you don’t like it don’t eat it, just beware it will eat you if you don’t"
How caring they are (!)
You missed liars claiming to be neutral.
Why is she leading?
Hey—it could happen.
Maybe. Possibly. Never mind.
Made me laugh, though.
I read the comics to get away from all that s**t
“Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right…” :-D
As child I hated rolled oats, but now I look forward to my dish of porridge .first too much brown sugar ,then too much condensed milk, then too much butter, did I mention the rolled oats?
This one has been on my refrigerator for years! Always makes me smile.
I see next child comeing in this dance!!
I’ve seen this strip before, Infact I have a copy of the first frame on file ( I collect his really great expressions ) Are they going to start going back to the older strips like Lil Abner does? I think he probably does anyway but this is the first one I’ve noticed.
The notorious ‘Spinach Monster’ nearly got me many times. But I endured.
I agree! Political comments should be limited to comics with political content.
By the way, what is that green stuff that appears so frequently on Calvin’t plate?
Oh Calvin u funny dude
@FormerSalemite:In my case it was take it or get it for breakfast.
Hi Tacopielvr. Glad you enjoyed the strips.
Yes you should always love your children BUT it does not mean you always have to LIKE them.
@CalvinToo bad your mom doesn’t know how to cook properly…
We had to take and taste everything. But not eat a lot if we disagreed.
Being eaten by green glop has enriched everyone’s dining experience – wonder what the receipe is?
