Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

@Hobbes
Hi Hobbes! Good strips today. I hate my stupid teeth had to be pulled out. It still is sore. How have you been?

@leftwingpatriot: in response to yesterday: Teeth are better, but I still need to use an ice pack, which sucks

In the two Peanuts strips above, by 1961, poor Linus had already been hit by Lucy for seven years. One of the many perils of slow comic-strip aging. Another example is that Calvin’s parents are still raising a six-year-old after 27 years.

Yesterday I posted two early Peanuts strips to go with the Calvin and Hobbes “Hamster-Huey-Bedtime-Story”strip, but they disappeared later in the day, so I’m posting them again below.
The first strip is from the very early days, when Charlie Brown sometimes said, “Great Scott,” rather than “Good Grief.”

Nope, not at all. In 2008, during the Super Bowl, I had all my front teeth really lose,but they wouldnt come out, so I had to go there, get em pulled out, and when I got back, Giants had just finished the game. Man! I was mad

Hi Denver Broncos (a.k.a. Snoopster)
I’ve been extremely busy. Finding time to post on this site is just like…….. well…….. pulling teeth.
Have a good year at school. Break a leg.
