Sometime someone broke in my cellar. I had the idea to call the police too late, so they couldn’t help so much and said, next time I should call earlier.

It is good that we are all ‘someone else’ only to ‘someone else’. If we are ‘someone else’ to ourseleves what will we we call some other ‘someone else’ other than ourselves ? ‘someone else’ to ‘someone else’ ?

Reminds me of an old saying: “All people are foreigners. Practically everywhere.” (All Menschen sind Ausländer. Fast überall)

alaskakid, we were victims of a break-in this winter. Fortunately, they were able to apprehend the guy through a fluke, AND we were able to get the guy the help he needed, for he had some issues to deal with that led to his thieving.

We’re lucky where we live in a small town there is very little crime, alot of people leave thier cars and houses unlocked. Mostly we have people drinking two much and fighting or young kids with new licenses speeding about. I grew up in a larger town/city and learned to lock my car and house up tight.
