Does that mean Calvin and Hobbes takes place in Ohio, the state where I spent my childhood?
That’s cold, Calvin. And for you, probably impossible; you can’t even throw a snowball that far most of the time.

50 ft. is not enough distance, Calvin.

BinaryWiener said, 3 months ago
I had to look it up… a buckeye is a large seed from a tree of the horse-chestnut family.
IIRC, Calvin once flung a pinecone at Susie but she sent it right back at 95 mph!

You need a good wrist rocket, Calvin. From only 50 feet that will let you permanently plant that buckeye in Susie’s head.
Oh I know, I’ve offended every PC’er in the bunch.
I’m just teaching Calvin that if you’re going to do a thing you have to do it right or just don’t bother doing it at all.

Not a doe eye.

I would not much to say where today’s strip is concerned I think Calvin is being a typical boy.
I waited too late was also too busy for Dec 12 comments where Hobbes is snoring and keeping Calvin awake and Calvin winds down on the floor.
Here for me and I don’t like to give myself away but I let my husband sleep, my husband mother told me she use to poke her husband to tell him to quit snoring, I can’t do that. I gave up a job and he work to raise our two kids. I would either two things my husband would go to bed early and I would wait usually an hour and I would read or watch some tapes. Or if I could not get to sleep I would just read a book. Good way to get novels done. It would take until 3am before I could consider going back to bed. I can’t stand the noise and am a light sleeper and when nerves start happening, which means music in my mind, means no sleep. Also I have to leave caffeen along no problem there not additiced. So husbands this is one wife that lost sleep to a husband snooring.

jbmetalmonster- wormwood is a plant used to make absinthe, a licorice-flavored liquor with a high alcohol content. When I was stationed in Japan, absinthe contained opium. So, I supppose M.s Wormwood must mess with Calvin’s mind! <:-)

Well, this year a Buckeye is a team somehow able to win. No idea how they managed to beat The Badgers with defense only.

When I was a kid, part of our fun was collecting chestnuts in the fall.
However, there were a few who would drill holes in them and run a cord through the holes, making a sort of bolo.
Much deadlier and more accurate than just throwing them.

A buckeye is going to be someone reeling over how badly they could lose another bowl game come January.

A nice Buckeye, perfect shot to dent Susie’s skull with it within 50 feet Calvin.

@Strodgers:
Good defense always wins - as you can tell I personally endorse a Double D-Fense strategy.
But really - what is a Buckeye?

Hello to any friends we have left in St. Lucia - at one time we had a lot.

Saint Lucy is most beautiful with her crown of six
lighted candles. Buckeyes are nuts, alright, but
you must not eat them. The Chestnuts roasting by
an open fire are Chinese chestnuts. Very good,
but they are not Buckeyes.

Not only is Calvin a boy, he’s about 115% boy. I love the dichotomy ‘this is pretty, I’ll use it to hurt Susie.’ So very 6 years old!

BinaryWeiner thank you for that as I had NO idea what a buckeye was and I am TOO lazy to look it up and Yukoner that would be 50 feet vector. Actually I think Calvin’s got about as much chance with the buckeye as he did with the snowball he saved until July.
