Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

They should’ve brought light sticks.

I think fearless explorer Spaceman Spiff should be helping them out with exploring/surviving the “NEW PLANET”

Boy his little red wagon sure holds a lot, but if Hobbes had really had it together he would have brought a flashlight.

I present for your consideration: “The Nightlight”.
Another of the many fine products which exist solely because someone found a way to market “fear”.
“Fear”. It’s the best product ever! ;-)

mwachowski - They’re going to brush their teeth with the candy bars.
BinaryWiener - Yes, Mars DOES have water! See http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/odyssey/newsroom/pressreleases/20030219a.html
and

Calvin & Hobbes left earth because they said that the grown-up had polluted it. So… What are he & Hobbes going to do to Mars if they stay? Human & tiger waste, candy bars, empty tuna cans, etc.
Look what pot is calling the kettle “black”…
Yes, the boys forgot a source of electricity, proper nutrition, tools & fuel to cook with (to at least melt the Martian ice), desalinization system, oxygen, Radiation-protective suits, a habitat with somewhere to sleep, a plan to grow their own food, etc.
In reality, Calvin’s probably in his sandbox, daydreaming again.
treBsdrawkcaB said, 15 days ago
Sorry - “candy bar WRAPPERS,…”

Reminds me of “Never Cry Wolf”, where the bureaucrats pack plenty of light bulbs for the hero’s stint in the Artic wilderness.

He should be homesick in two comic strips, the cause; out of tuna or under attack from Martians or The Martians smell the tuna and kick them out.
grazer said, 15 days ago
Perhaps our next Mars probe will capture pictures of a rusty wagon, some corroded cans, and a few bones.
Bargrove said, 15 days ago
So there is no place to plug it in? Next time
you need to remember a plug so there will be.

jukeofurl said, “@BinaryWiener—exactly. But as we all know that is secondary to Mars first need—women….”
Not in Calvin’s case. All he’d need right now is Susie Derkins or his mother to appear.

“In reality, Calvin’s probably in his sandbox, daydreaming again.”
——————————————————-
Did you really say “In reality”??? Really? In reality, Calvin is a set of contrasting pixels on a visual display. Or perhaps, more accurately, a few tiny electrical impulses in the synapses of Waterson’s brain. But I’m sure that Bill W. would be proud to know that you have become so thoroughly immersed in his imagination that you’ve come to consider it “reality”!
Do you suppose Calvin will ever ask “What is The Matrix?”

They forgot the most important thing–TOILET PAPER!
I doubt they’ll find any on Mars.
OldHipster said, 15 days ago
YEAH! According to The Philosophy of Mr Natural, “Kids! Don’t forget toilet paper to wipe your blinkity blank with!”
You can fill in the blinkity blank with whatever you want.
Ya know?
