How much would she gain by playing along for a minute or two and helping him “find” his head. As parents I think we miss these opportunities all too often; I know I did. I’m trying to do better with the grandkids.

I don’t want to think about the mess inside the front of that shirt.

If my little brother had pulled that stunt Mom would’ve rolled right along with it.

I think the mess would be on the walls as his head was out.

    Have a good day everyone.

Yep, I posted that one a few days ago, but you can’t go back and get it cuz somehow I used up my 10GB bandwidth allowance Photobucket gives…good thing I have 5 different accounts, some file moves and I’m good to go.

Hugh, your animations are priceless. The one of this strip captures Calvin in his essence.

My mom would’ve reacted just like Calvin’s mom. My dad wouldn’t have been any better. But my grandparents would’ve played along.

Calvins mom must have been gullible at one point, she married his dad.

No such luck, Calvin. You can’t put one over on her. She’s been there and more than likely done that

Well, I think mom is fun enough… for all of us…

And Calvin’s absolutely right about handkerchiefs.

  21. cleokaya

    cleokayaGenius_badge said, 27 days ago

Mom has had way to much experience with Calvin’s antics to be gullible, but I agree, it wouldn’t hurt to play along once and awhile.

His dad would have made some appropriate response.

You know, in between Mom”no fun at all - ever’ parenting and dad’s schizophrenic ‘character improving and making him believe the most outrageous lies’ parenting, they honestly deserve the way Calivn turned out. And Calvin honestly doesn’t deserve all the misery he already gets and will get for being screwed up like this.

But, being a typical kid (with no handkerchief), you know he wiped his nose on the inside of that shirt. Whatever’s handy, right?

Like Calvin, went through parent hell. Didn’t come out completely unscathed, but I survived. Most of us do.

Remember the scene in the movie ROMAN HOLIDAY where Gregory Peck sticks his hand into the “Mouth of Truth”, jerks around a bit, and then pulls his “handless” sleeve out? I read that this was NOT scripted, and Audrey Hepburn’s shriek of fright and then her funny reaction when Greg pulled his hand out was entirely spontaneous.

I really feel sorry for Calvin. His parents are a pair of humorless clods.

Now we have to and it’s not that easy to sneeze in sleeve. I try to have kleenze or towell around.
I also like the animinations wish there was sound to those pictures.

This reminds me of the little old lady that every time she had to sneeze, she would “toot”.

    That’s all.
