Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Any game that isn’t played by Calvin’s rules is a sissy game.

What I don’t get is that Hobbes is the one to set the rules…and set them to his own advantage.

Thinking of how Hobbes welcomes Calvin home, it might be best not to antagonize him.

For superfrog:
noog⋅ie /Pronunciation [noog-ee]
–noun Slang. a light blow or jab, usually to a person’s head, back, or upper arm and accompanied by a twisting motion, with the extended knuckle of the curled-up second or third finger: done as a gesture of affection or painfully as a prank.

No, that’s just a bush, although it is a very dark bush.
Landri Sheppard said, 3 months ago
Ratlum,
No, there is a bush behind Hobbes though.

HEY CALVIN! We used to play it with BB guns! But then again that was back in the days of the lawn darts and other fun instruments of destruction. I’m soooo glad I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s…

rhutch436, I was introduced to dirt clod war in the late 50’s. Red clay hurts! Even worse when you get hit in the eye. Ah yes, those were the days.

My cat used to know what noogies were. We played a game called “noogies for kitties” in which I’d try to give him noogies, and he’d try to shred my arms. We both had lots of fun playing that. He used to come and rub his head against my hand when he wanted to play. I don’t think he had dain bramage.
Dino-1 said, 3 months ago
My husband still loves to give “noogies” and “wet willies”! I finally got him a couple weeks ago with a “super wet willie” so he’s given up for awhile!
bobmc32 said, 3 months ago
Heehee to all comments and especially the noogies, wet willies, and dutch brushes/rubs. I grew up in the 30s and 40s and we played all those games, pranks, and dangerous stuffs according to today’s standards and “most” of us grew into healthy and good adults with both eyes and ears and no serious damage.. And even into grandparents now like me.
