Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Nope, I don’t like that game, either. Let’s find something else to do, Hobbes.

so now calvin is running numbers

As Calvin once said in a different strip, “you may as well give up, you are nine tenths of the way there!”

Games, I like. Going through 700,000,000,000 numbers til I get the right one- I don’t like.
Morning Tribe- still can’t sleep.

by the time Hobbes could guess it Calvin would have forgotten what it was

Remindes me of a song: Chances are we may never meet again…
ARF2 said, 6 months ago
If Jason Fox were playing this game, the correct answer would be e^pi, about 23.14069263278.

3.1415926….
more souds like Math stuff
Calvins trying to see how well the privity between them?? lol

Oh, Hobbes, sooooooo close!! It was six million and five!!!
BinaryWiener said, 6 months ago
Calvin should work for the government: “I’m thinking of a federal budget figure between 1 and 700 billion…”
Yukoner said, 6 months ago
That sounds more like a bail-out offer to me.

Hobbes went looking for a random number generator…..he, he, he, …..

Sorry Calvin but I never play that game unless it’s between one and ten.
gowolfy said, 6 months ago
well, it’s a pity that tigers are not more into math…hobbes could have told calvin to play the game with saying “no, higher” or “no, lower”.
by halving each interval, he could have guessed (even for this outrageously big interval) in
log2(700,000,000,000) =~ 39.35
that is around 40 guesses.
not that bad, ain’t it? ;o)

When I played that game, I did exactly what Hobbes did … tigers have a short tolerance for games.

Love the expression on Hobbes’ face in panel 3! Calvin specializes in getting people to give him that look!
idwiz123 said, 6 months ago
Just wait till it’s Hobbes turn to pick a number… then see how you like guessing Calvin!! ;-)

I’m still trying to get used to the new website.
Rmom said, 6 months ago
NIMAS - Once I learn how to navigate it, it will probably be better - IF they cut down on the amount of white on the screen, especially in the view all comments section. I also wish it wasn’t such a laborious process to add bold/italics, etc. It has some advantages the old format didn’t, and if they can tweak a little more, I think it will be fine.
green_engineer said, 6 months ago
musicnut1986 - me too. I didn’t realise we can’t view anything older than 7 days now. It used to be a month. Having said that, there are some things I do like about the website like the fact that comics have a better resolution when enlarged.
How do I go bold/italic? It was so easy with the asterix before!
grammahotsho said, 6 months ago
The odds are against anyone wanting to play this game, Calvin!
grazer said, 6 months ago
I never knew Hobbes was such a quitter.
ninmas said, 6 months ago
i don’t think we’re able to follow each other on the new website.
ninmas said, 6 months ago
the two things i love about the new website are how when you comment it doesn’t take off your page, and that you can see a picture of the star of a strip!

Good Morning ninmas. I like the new format and apparently they are still working on the follower/following aspect of things.
EMandEM said, 6 months ago
Hello Ninmas. I liked the old format better. Not quite getting used to this one. It just seems too cluttered. But maybe time will change my comfort level with this one.
pomy2191 said, 6 months ago
love hobbes expression in 3rd panel…he knows how long its gonna take to end this game
im getting used to the new site but i liked in the old site if you wanted to see all comics(the explore tab) it didnt take you to a new page but opened in the same page halfway down.it seemed much shorter and easier to navigate than all in 1 page
also now we can see just 1 week old comics.i usually miss out comics at times.now i’ll have to check up regularly:)

I prefer the new interface. I don’t know why they chose to limit us free-loaders to 7 days back, though. You could actually miss some Barkeater Lake with that limitation!
(No offense, CP. Hope we can soon be taking you for granted.)
unemandarine said, 6 months ago
I like the new look.
ninmas said, 6 months ago
okay everyone, tommorrow i will check and see the final results of the poll, then i will announce it on tommorrows strip. by the way pookid, what is a poll dance?
musicnut1986 said, 6 months ago
ninmas. you shouldn’t ask. Imagine, if you will, a firehouse pole in the middle of a stage under full stage lighting in a “gentleman’s” club. The dancers, clothing optional, use the pole in order to achieve some unbelievable contortionist positions.
I’ve only heard this, I do not know this from first hand experience. My wife would kill me if I even thought about going into one of those joints.
ralphynellaphant930 said, 6 months ago
Poor Hobbes…lol He’d fall asleep before guessing the right number!
Yukoner said, 6 months ago
And here I thought a pole dance was an ethnic tradition from eastern Europe.
