Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Hobbes, ever resourceful and always devious. It is indeed good to be naked.

Tiger tiger smiling bright
Heaved a snowball with all his might
On the sofa he did lie
And watch a p.o.ed Calvin stomp on by.

A full forensic investigation does seem in order.

Heheh, yeah, we saw it coming even if Calvin didn’t. My post after Calvin’s open challenge yesterday….
Confucious say
Loudmouthed grasshoppers not hear approaching tiger paws on soft snow.

@ Charlie: Hobbes is the WISER one, which isn’t always the same thing.
@ Yukoner: It’s not Susie’s MO ;) SHE prefers face-shots to stealth!
LX013 said, 9 months ago
Sometimes Hobbes has joy over the misfortune of Calvin, I think, it’s a bit mean and I dont like this of Hobbes!
LX013 said, 9 months ago
Perhaps a little bit difference makes the world go around and so it does not become dull.
prasrinivara said, 9 months ago
As Optimystic says, Susie (who’s also not known for unprovoked throw) can be ruled out as possible culprit–although other than Hobbes, we still theoretically have Ronald (remember the softball-field episode and the “cretiniser”) and Moe. Of course, Moe can be ruled out due to his MO being even less subtle (he doesn’t understand the concept of stealth in the first place, and probably won’t bother using a snowball either) than Susie’s!
So, possibles:
(*) Hobbes – 99.5%
(*) Ronald – 0.5%

Tigers also love the snow.

Turn about is fair play. How many times has Calvin tossed Hobbes around in that wagon, bumping down the hill into a flying crash?

Is that a Captain Napalm comic Hobbes is reading?

Yesterday Calvin said: “This snow fort can repel any attack!”
Apparently he hadn’t thought about sneak attacks from tigers.

Hobbes…You are just like me, except Im human and im a girl. But we are alike just the same. Ah, Calvin…

At the last panel, I don’t see the halo appears above Hobbes’ head. I am sure he did on purpose to throw a snowball at Calvin. LOLs! XD

Good old Hobbes, I do, however, feel bad for Calvin, wonder if he’ll be mad at Hobbes for reading his comic book?

this is so one of my many favs. i love it. looks like it hit him so hard he flew, in the first panel. and hobbes trying to act all sweet and innocent. i think calvin knows it was him. love how hobbes is all laid back and comfy.
prasrinivara said, 9 months ago
So tabbylynn–you think Calvin’s just being sarky in the third panel?
cello_wizard said, 9 months ago
Wouldn’t the snow on Calvin’s head had melted already because he’s so “fired up”?

Even if Calvin suspects it’s Hobbes, he can’t prove it - and even if he could, what would he do? He can barely keep Hobbes from greeting him at (through) the door when he comes home from school!
