This is NOT interesting!

I started reading comments because people with a sense of humor had something funny and nice to say!!!

Let us all be civilised humans and do the simple !IGNORE! to those who are talking about religion and politics! That way, when I come in the evening and start reading comments I’ll simply jump over writing of a “slipin’ rippin’ dang fang rotten”s :), and pick up what worth reading, relaxing myself, instead of digging it out of UGLY religious and political disputes!

Isn’t that why we are all here?! You can’t ban those people out, because they will log in under different user name, and everything will start over. We’re all children here, some of us by our sense of humor, others by their need to draw attention! My(Christian) God said, to turn another cheek, and I’ll turn it together with turning my head away, will not let them irritate me! AND IS THERE BETTER WAY TO PUNISH SPOILT BRAT THEN IGNOOOORING IT!?

I’m pretty impressed by Calvin’s story actually, it’s very good. I think he might even get a gold star for that if he wrote it in class! :D

I’ve been reading the comments on here recently and was so horrified to find so much religious discussion in a place where it wasn’t welcome that I decided to sign up for an account and write comments that were actually relevant.

(& before you have a go at me too, I am a Christian.)

My opinion: the guy calling himself truecristian (complete with misspelling) is an impostor. This is a caricature done with a paint roller rather than a pen.

Good use of rhyme for a six-year old, isn’t it? And spot on with the allusion to “The Cask of Amontillado” - though without the merciful torch at the end… Is Calvin crueler than Poe?!?

Calvin needs a spanking for coming up with this. He ought to learn to be thankful to Dad for his food, home and all he has.

As for so called true christian I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he was gay himself and is here to mock at Christians and make us look bad. I hope his account is suspended, and maybe flagging him will help, is there anything else we can do?

Calvin and Hobbes have a bright future as cartoonists. They have a good grasp of ‘satire’.

Macushlaronda, Do you know any gay people? I have a friend whose gay. So what? He lives a good life, is good to other people and does no harm to anyone. He also didn’t ask to born that way, but has learned to deal with it. As he says, it is what is and I can give up or live my life the best way I know how.

gweedo et. al.: Agreed, Christianity & Judaism preach love & charity. Being Catholic & living where I do now, I’ve met & became friends with members of other denominations. I do miss the Jewish people I knew in BKN,NY.
No Jewish people in our area, they live in the city, not in our rural area.

aerwalt I knew two Jewish boys in school. Both very honorable individuals who I would trust with my life and my wallet(Gotta beat down that old stereotype). The second fella I met during junior high and eventually got over to his house on a Saturday where I met his Mom and Dad and sister, who I sorta wished ida got to know better. The Mom’s accent cracked me up. I think it was the quintessential Brooklinese per your reference to the area. I still have that lady’s voice on a tape recording I made while there. I had supper with them. I remember the unsalted butter and the roast that was delicately done. The first boy I knew in grade school. Got invited over for lunch there one day. Delightful people, all.

I suspect that “TrueChristian” is no Christian at all, but rather is someone who is trying to portray Christians in a bad light. While some of what he says is true, the words and method are not consistent with Christ and the commands in the Bible.

to start off my comment i will start with this “TRUECRISTIAN” stuff. I am a christian, i go to church and i worship the one true God. So i have a question for “TRUECRISTIAN” what on here this beautiful comic strip provoked you to start this? I understand, and feel that we should tell people about God and his works, but what you are doing is not that. when i read your comment i get upset more then anything. God tells us to love others. So please i am asking you and begging you to quit this. what you are doing is not right, not how to go about expressing your anger against others or talking about God. Please do it different.

now on to the reason i am hear. Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin’s dad must have really ticked him off. I feel sorry for him. Hobbes is a great artist. love this strip.
