Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

It’s a brilliant move on Calvin’s part, unless his mom comes into the bathroom and turns on the water while looking over her shoulder and announcing in a loud angry voice, “Calvin, I’m running your bath water. Get your little butt in here now buster.”

From yesterday’s posts-DrystyhaPRO I am old!! I watched all those cartoons when I got my first color TV about 10” worth. I was in my 30’s!! They had the best color, I never missed any of them.Good Times! But I still am having a Good Time. Hope you see this.

3hourtour,
There are no new C&H strips… consequently, every one that’s gets put online has been and will continue to be a rerun… no guessing involved!

From yesterday:
Does anyone remember “Beany and Cecil” when it was live-action puppets? It was broadcast in LA on KTLA (channel 5). It was a few years later that the animation series was done.

3hourtour, if you don’t like Calvin & Hobbes, don’t read it! So it’s a repeat, the best things in life are meant to be enjoyed over and over again! I guess if you had a REALLY FAVORITE MOVIE of all time, you wouldn’t watch it a second time, BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A REPEAT!

@JanCinVV, I vaguely remember that, about Beanie & Cecil being puppets, but I remeber the cartoon show more. Wasn’t it on Sunday nights by the way, like before the Ed Sullican Show? No, it couldn’t have been because I always watched Walt Disney. Beanie must have been on at some other time.

How come the kids who are hardest to get into the bathtub are the same ones who are hardest to get out of it?
Gweedo Murray said, 9 months ago
Hey guys! Slack off! The tour guy sounds like his tongue got stuck in his cheek. I’ve seen some of his other work and had a snicker or two, maybe even a chuckle. If Capt. Napalm showed up right now mom would put out his fire, while “looking over her shoulder” as cleokaya said.
Since I couldn’t get the L.A. station in Buffalo it would be a little hard to see the puppets over all that distance. Maybe if Santa had left me a really good pair of binoculars… If Bill W. had actually authorized production of Calvin piss stickers I might have one too. I respect his decision to not PEANUTS his creation.

Another round of reruns for the captain !
Ruff and Reddy: Captain Greedy and the big, dumb oaf guy. (can’t remember his name)
All little boys name is Buster. Why the hospital doesn’t put it on the birth paper I’ll never know.

yes, he cant really get into trouble cause he is in the tub like she asked. too funny
gandalf6 said, 9 months ago
that one is one of my favs as well.
but the best one ever is where calvin sticks his head in the back door and yells “MOMMMM!” she tells him not to yell across the house and to come in there if he needs to talk to her. next panel shows him walking through the house. when he gets to her he says”wheres the hose i stepped in dog doo” thats just too funny

Calvin HAS to be a resourceful survivor….One minute he can’t keep his head above water and the next minute he’s stranded high and dry.
……….
TRUE XIAN: Get out of Christianism and back to Christ.

Calvin is smart enough to hide in the bathtub but his mommy will absolutely find him in that bathtub and give him a furious look. Calvin will look at his mommy and says “UH-OH! you catch me in the act on right time!” LOLs!
TRUECRISTIAN! If you keep posting on the comment about the religion. God will judge you for that comment. QUIT IT! Thank you!
Wildmustang1262 said, 9 months ago
Gweedo I laughed and laughed so hard after I read your comment for Truecristian. I couldn’t help stopping laughs. Oh! I need to stop laughing! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haa….

Char32 said, 9 months ago
Its name is TRUECRISTEN No Christ in there!! Its avatar says “Love your enemies, no exceptions” I guess it had to go out and make a few for ” Martyrdom 101” The Book I read didn’t have Jesus talking like that. It must be a joke, a poor tasteless one!!
@DrystyhaPRO. Try 77 in June!! (:>}
Burgundy2 said, 9 months ago
Oh, and Gweedo, I think Truecristian (thanks for the spelling heads up, mfcoace and Char 32) is totally inappropriate. I did not come here to be told Satan has blinded me or I’m ignorant.

@Char32, GOOD FOR YOU! My dad is 95 and doing fairly well for that age!
If I make it to 77, I’ll still be reading the funnies, have been since I was old enough to read! Wanted to be an illustrator when I got out of high school. I was actually pretty good, but I got married, etc. etc and it just never happened! Guess that’s why I still love these things! Some of my friends think I’ve never grown up!
Char32 said, 9 months ago
DrystyhaPRO–Good for you Too, stay Forever Young, I avoid ‘old’ people and raving maniacs. Too many (raving manics)for a comics site, you’d think they could use a laugh, guess that’s the problem, no sense of HA HA.!! ;-D
Gweedo Murray said, 9 months ago
Hi Burgundy. Haven’t seen you around much. I had to change my spelling according to the “true word of CRIST”. More and more I think that someone’s just looking to start grass fires. The disclaimer is in the name…obviously.
JonD17 said, 9 months ago
Drystyha; Cuaght your comment on page 2 of yesterday’s Calvin. Amen to all that. When I was in high school, I used to stop off where my then 6 yr old nephew was being babysat and watch Huckleberry Hound and Yogi Bear almost every afternoon with him. Augie Doggie too

Gweedo Murray says:
Hey guys! Slack off!
Gweedo, my friend, perhaps you could heed this yourself a touch. I agree with your sentiment in your later post, but perhaps there is a different way the graphic action you wish the person to take could be expressed. Those were words I expect to see in State Of The Union rather than here.

Char32, had to run some errands so I couldn’t get back to you right away. I shall try to stay Forever Young, even if it won’t be in the looks dept. I truly enjoy the comics, and first thing I’ve been doing lately, in the morning, is check out “Overboard” for my daily feel good start to the day! Then, if I have time I run over to Pibgorn, mainly to read the comments! The graphics are great too, but I still haven’t had time to thoroughly investigate the detailed history of the storyline! I suppose if Gweedo sees that he’ll remove me from the couch!

JonD17, I forgot all about Augie Doggie! I had an Augie Doggie piggy bank when I was a kid. I also had Boo Boo Bear! He came to the hospital with me when I had my tonsils out at the age of 7. And who was the little penquin, I think it was a penquin!

Oh and JonD17, you’re right about Gweedo. I’m surprised that was bleeped! I said da** on here one time, spelled it out, and it was bleeped!
Shame on you GWEEDO! Although I too, agree with the sentiment!

I think there is room for all sort of comics.I love them all.But telling someone to have a heart attack or stroke is anti comic.Unless it was meant in a funny sort of way.
