    What makes you think that everything on Calvin’s list is toys? I’m sure there are such things as would be considered weapons too, and perhaps torture devices, wings, control over the forces of nature, etc.

    Calvin writes his list, wants it all and feels he is entitled to it. Is it not this same attitude on the part of citizens such as we that has brought us to the place where we are so far in debt we don’t know how to count that high. We rail against the politicians but must remember that we elected them based largely on how they promised to fill our greed. As Pogo said in another comic, “We have seen the enemy and he is us.”

    That was why Hobbes was a proofreader to make sure what Calvin wrote down the list for Xmas next year. Maybe he will not get them for Xmas next year.

    @shadowcougar8: good idea! Or he could make them himself. That’s more gratifying anyway. But he probably wouldn’t take the time to learn how.

    What do you mean his parents! Everyone knows Santa is the one who gives presents! He’s just terminally ill, and tells the parents to put the presents under the tree. And don’t say I’m wrong, because that’s what my parents told me, and my parents never lied to me!… Unless you count the time they said that I was a retard.
