Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Can’t wait for him to be forced into the predicament of having to explain how he got tied up to his mother…

Be prepared… to stay tied up, Calvin.

Calvin was a cub scout, waaaay back in the beginning of this strip. I think he quit because he didn’t fit in with the others.
shades_is_here said, 10 months ago
Cal you are knot going to get out of this unless you treat hobbes better so he will untie the knots for you before your mom puts knots some where else.
Calvinator said, 10 months ago
Calvin must be getting hungry - it’s been three days. BTW- do they have “Tiger” Scouts?

Calvinator says:

They do, actually – for kids who are too young for cub scouts.

I love the 2nd panel where Hobbes is leaning on Calvin’s head. Advantage: Hobbes!

I remember wanting to join the cub scouts because I thought I would love to use the uniform to pretend that I was a frontier cavalry officer.

This is almost as good as when Calvin wants to get into the secret club house, and has to recite the secret poem to get in. “‘Live for revenge” is going to be my motto…” LOL!

I like how Hobbes uses Calvin’s head for a book prop in panel two. Hobbes is definately relishing the predictament.
Only thing missing is a piece of duct tape….a BIG piece.
Silverpearl said, 10 months ago
No, Hobbes is leaning on the back of the chair.
Wildmustang1262 said, 10 months ago
Hey Calvin! Watch your tongue! Hobbs will not untie you off the chair unless you ask him politely.
h2oman said, 10 months ago
Comon Hobbes, put Calvin in the bathtub full of water, that should help loosen the ropes, (maybe)
westiewest Great-gra... said, 10 months ago
Uh, Calvin - don’t you remember? You asked Hobbes to tie you up!!!!
Silverpearl: If you look real close, the chair is at the level of Calvins’ ear, so Hobbes is leaning on his head in panel 2. Panel 1 and 3, he is leaning on the chair.

I see it’s still knot over…sigh…

It’s an Acoma pot. I wish I could make the picture bigger so that you could see the details. The image in the center is a lizard.

Actually Bill Waterson said that he stopped putting C&H in the Cub Scouts because it limited their adventures together. I think that was in the 10th anniversary book. And I love how he’s using Calvin’s head as an arm rest in panel 2!

At the end of a long day, when I need a good laugh, good old Calvin& Hobbes always delivers! Hobbes is like the Older Brother From Hell in this one.

When I went to Marcio Silva’s page, my virus protection went crazy. I’ve spent much of the day scanning for spyware and trojans and worms. Oh my!
