    One day my sister-in-law, possibly 13 then, came out the back door of their house to see what my husband, then about 10, was screaming about. He was dangling upside-down from a rope securely tangled around his ankles.
    She went back inside….. a neighbor finally came over and let him down.

    i have a joke:D

    a string walks into a bar and asked for a bear, the bartender says “we dont serve strings here” so the string walks back out and pays some guy to beast him up then walks back in about 10 min latter all beat up and messed up and says to the bartender, “hey man can i get a bear?” the bartender asked “aren’t you the same string that just came in here about 10 min ago?” to which the string replied, “Nope I’m a frayed knot.”

    seemed appropriate for this one. love this one by the way. and Calvin’s face when hobbes “accidentally on purposely” pulled the wrong string. best one in a while.

    I have seen this strip before. I think that Bill Watterson makes strips any more. I think this strip is in Authoritative, Indispensable or Essential C+H. It is funny though.Calvin’s face in panel 2 is so funny! ~joseph_001

    Yes, these are all reruns. Bill only produced the strips for a little over ten years (1985-95). He quit for various reasons, including pressure to merchandise his images. But they are still good, still timeless. We miss Calvin; long live Calvin!
