The Great Calvini has flubbed up. How will he explain his being tied to a chair when Mom sees Hobbes as only a stuffed toy tiger?

if the lack of circulation doesn’t kill him, his parents will.

His parents may think this is a great idea and leave him there. I would be tempted if he were mine.

oh does THIS bring back memories!
My aunt (God Rest her soul in Heaven) came over to our house one day, and saw my sister and I were super hyper, so suggested to my mother that she tie us up and let us burn up energy getting out. My sister and I both got out with no problems, and we ran up to her room. Mom yelled “DON’T YOU TWO BE DOING THAT! YOU’LL GET HURT!” we of course, didn’t listen, and my sister tied me up on her bed… I was in the process of asking her to remove my glasses, when I fell off the bed, the connector of the glasses smashed through my temple and I was bleeding like there was no tomorrow (in under 3 minutes, there were 5 HUGE puddles of blood on her floor cuz I was moving around). Went to the hospital, and they stitched me up with out freezing and the Dr said they could see the bone … oh the joys of being a kiddie again

AllenVS, it’s too bad you weren’t a cartoon character. It wouldn’t have been so bad, then.

I agree with margueritem, how will he explain being tied up since he couldn’t have done that to himself? AllanVS what a story! Glad you weren’t seriously hurt.

Poor Calvin is a goner. It only takes about an hour for growing 6 year olds to starve to death.

Yeah, just last year I was at morning prayer when I was feeling a bit off, so I got up for a drink of water, made it about 6 feet before I fainted and got my forehead pretty bad on the furniture. Needed 25 stitches. Doc said the bone was visible there too. (I was going for a lightning bolt effect, but didn’t quite make it. More of a cross.) I would have been discharged - was being discharged - when I fainted again (probably blood loss, on top of whatever caused the first fainting) and they kept me for 24 hours observation.

The big discussion at home (and my first though too) was whether the splinters embedded in my forehead were first or second class relics - assuming I died and was canonized… :)

bmonk: That’s quite a story! Did they ever find out what caused the fainting? And what did they decide concerning the possible relics?

Margueritem, that is what i was going to say. no fun. lol.

but see things like this just proves that he is real and not “just a stuffed tiger” to funny.

This has got to be good. Calvin tied up by a stuffed animal. What will the explanation be?

No such luck on a firm diagnosis. My theory: incipient illness, some dehydration, making my electrolytes go wacky for a moment. I used to do that as a kid on occasion, tho as an adult it’s a lot less common. Then, the second time, remember how much of my blood plasma was now soaking my hair, on the floor, etc.

As for the relics: we never decided fully. IMHO, they’d be first class: body part (blood), you know. But I could argue for second class too. I suppose it depends on how you label them. Doesn’t really matter either way, as we never got them back from the emergency room.

Unless maybe they’re keeping them until I die? :)

My sister and I would tie up our older brother and he would ALWAYS get out!
One time my kids were driving me nuts in the house and I told them to go outside and not to come back in unless they were bleeding. Well, 10 minutes later my daughter came in with her foot sliced open from the chain link fence-took 21 stitches to close. I’ll never tell my kids that again!!!

I was making a rocking horse, using a table mounted router. I’ll spare the details, but my thumbprint is very unique now, and I sold the finished rocking horse as a “pinto.”

I am glad my previous pain can bring laughter to others - and a warning - always remove glasses when tied up on a bed (good for when your doing kinky w/ the special someone LAMO)
