I’m wondering if a little hanky panky is about to take place in Calvin’s folks room.

    I love Calvin’s expression in panel 2.

Calvin, when it was your mom and dad doing the slobbering and other stuff it was but a prelude to your conception.

Never, never tell a kid that his parents once had intercourse with each other. That’s a “prelude” to lifetime therapy =)

I believe the “walk in on” is the prelude to lifetime therapy

Psst, Calvin! Ask Hobbes to explain the connection. He knows all about “snoogie-woogie wips”!! LOL

Kinda interesting how that expression of childish disgust (panel two) starts appearing again at about 70 for the very same reason.

I like it, how Mum puts Calvin under her arm resolutely and strictly, no contradiction tolerating.Nothing helps, he has to go to bed!

She wanted to get him out of the room before the kissing led to something else.

I think about 20 years down the road Calvin and Susie are gonna get married.

    grazer says:

“Kinda interesting how that expression of childish disgust (panel two) starts appearing again at about 70 for the very same reason.”

Is that related to George Carlin’s view on aging? (He, he, he!)

    Macushlalondra says:

“She wanted to get him out of the room before the kissing led to something else.

“I think about 20 years down the road Calvin and Susie are gonna get married.”

Actually, I think that Bill Watterson once said that Susie and Calvin would never get together. It just wasn’t gonna happen.

Where is hobbes? You usally see him at a time like this. Also Bill Watterson is more private person you can’t just go ask him. I think Calvin and Susie wouldn’t be a good couple because hobbes might get jealous…

Calvin reminds me of Ian Frazier’s “Laws Concerning Food and Drink …”:

“Likewise if you receive a portion of fish from which every piece of herbal seasoning has not been scraped off, and the herbal seasoning is loathsome to you, and steeped in vileness, again I say, refrain from screaming. Though the vileness overwhelm you, and cause you a faint unto death, make not that sound from within your throat, neither cover your face, nor press your fingers to your nose.” Well, OK, switch the vileness source to the television program, and include the horrid, screwed-up face, but the rest fits!

Ian Frazier has obviously read, meditated upon, and inwardly digested the entire Rule of St. Benedict.
