Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Well if you guys had completed your trip to Yukon you could have had lots of snow and for lots longer. You might even have been able to get yourself a couple of ice worms.

You got that right Fearciuil. Winter took a while to get here, but it’s making up for lost time.

Move to SNAG, Yukon, whcih has the dubious distinction of recording the lowest temperature in Canada at -62.8°C (-81°F) … I promise you’ll have snow year round Calvin LMAO

Yeah, I grew up in Phoenix, where even wet grass is hard to come by. We would put a towel on a big block of ice and sit on it.

I think this shows an enviromental message, about global warming.

It is not officially winter yet!!

Maybe it’s a warning of the problems which come to us in our times.

Very politely Hobbes is protecting Calvin under the umbrella.

Horsehead1 says:

As I said over at Pibgorn, it keeps the riff-raff out.
kbielefe says:
“Yeah, I grew up in Phoenix, where even wet grass is hard to come by. We would put a towel on a big block of ice and sit on it.”
I’ve been down in Arizona when it snowed. The Phoenixites (Phoenixers? Phoenitians??) anyway, they would take their trailers up to the snow, fill them up, then drive back down to the valley and have snowball fights (in shirt sleeves and shorts).

I think everyone’s reading a bit too much into a possible global warming message for this one, especially since I think this strip would have originally been published in October or something.

Calvin and Hobbes pre-dates the global warming scare.
Global warming is a hoax.
This is a comic. Meant to be funny… not discussed to death.

Maybe it’s about a young boy who loves sledding and is rushing the season a bit.
