Hey Calvin, cheer up. That’s the world we live in where animals have more sense than humans.

Hobbes consoles Calvin so nice. He’s a real friend and Calvin seeks and needs such one in this situation!Calvin will get more happy again!

While I totally agree that humans can be less than kind…have you ever seen a cat “play” with a mouse? Animals aren’t particularly loving to other animals, either!

I’m getting the complete calvin and hobbes soon and I can’t stop thinking about C&H ended. We really need a true inspirational comic to return to the funny pages and bring back those good times. Mr. Watterson, what are you waiting for? You brought smiles to millions of peoples faces and I’m just thinking to myself……please come back. There are still some good comics but they don’t seem to recieve the attention they deserve. There’s always been 2 or 3 amazing strips out there and there’ll be no doubt they’ll be another. I’m hoping that anyway. We need a comic to save the funnies.

That depends on the other animal. In that case the cat is just playing with its food - something we humans do - and the food may get a chance to escape.
A wolf pack would not tolerate the kind of bullying Calvin is enduring. Moe would be dressed down by the Alpha Male big time!

We’ve all had a Moe sometime in our lives. It’s how we deal with it that makes the difference. Calvin’s lucky he has someone to console him… and Tiger1183, you’re right, that is soooo cute! Hobbes has his paw on Calvin’s shoulder :-)

Moe is a bully who understands what he is doing and does not cares that he hurts others. In fact he is please with his own actions for he gets a reward from his indifference and cruelty toward others.
Since this cartoon originally appeared Moe has grown up and is now the CEO of a major financial institution on Wall Street

Phoebe: Yes, you are right about cats, but that’s their nature from their wild ancestors. However, what about the ones who adopt baby rabbits, squirrels, puppies, etc. Like humans, not all are less than friendly.

Elwoodman - you are so right. I know I had my bullies to deal with, so did my brothers, and my friends. Did it make me stronger - I can’t say. It made me more wary.
