Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Calvin has a moment of self realization.

Yes, insight can hurt sometime.

Dad might not take him back (given the grouch he is), but Mom surely will.
Besides, Calvin can be pretty manipulative too…

So out of character. Don’t know if I can handle this.
Margueritem and Frida Bonita, it’s nice to see your two lovely avatars right together this morning. Sort of brightens the day.
Attyush…well…that is SOME avatar!

For attyush:
I think dad’ll take him back so long as he drops the “dad polls”; mum’ll take him back without preconditions.

Has Calvin abandoned Hobbes? Has Hobbes been left to drag the toboggan home by himself? Will Hobbes secede?
circuit7 said, about 1 year ago
No, the human imagination can’t maintain an additional critical personality when being honest and frank with itself.
That’s why we can’t see our imaginary friends any more.
So if you still can…

Hobbes tricked Calvin into this bout of soul-searching so he can finish off the food supplies before Calvin realizes it.

@Ray C
You mean to say that marg… and frida… brighten and I frighten?
flammable_feline said, about 1 year ago
When Calvin discovers that he’s made a mistake, he really doesn’t need Hobbes rubbing it in his face, it’s probably just as well he’s not there :-/

To the extent that Shrek is terrifying, yep.
Marderofski said, about 1 year ago
A lot funnier though…
Wildmustang1262 said, about 1 year ago
Hey! Uh Uh! (nodded negatively) Calvin deserves to ask for it that he thinks he is “stupid”
Reggie Thomson says:
Has Calvin abandoned Hobbes? Has Hobbes been left to drag the toboggan home by himself? Will Hobbes secede? Hobbes did not secede from Calvin and his parents. Wake up! Think twice Hobbes is just a stuffed toy tiger.
DUH!

Marg and Frida Your icons are awesome but both of your icons are too difficult to look closer at your icons. I used my magnify closer to your icons. Marg’s looked like the lady with holding the turkey place? Frida’s looked like a schoolteacher with holding the pencil? Am I right or wrong? :-)

Mine is a lady holding a Thanksgiving turkey. It’s a very old greeting card that says ‘Thanksgiving Wishes’. Frida’s is a picture of Frida Kahlo, who was a Mexican artist.

You are so very kind, thank you.
attyush,
You’re cute in that green giant kinda of way ; )

What’s all this nonsense about “imaginary friends” and “stuffed toy tiger”? Hobbes is real!
mrprongs said, about 1 year ago
Perhaps Hobbes is a real tiger, who found some dolls, and is imagining he’s in the human world.
