   Calvin’s mommy is so wise. She had a pretty good idea of about how far he’d get. Calvin’s mind has brilliantly furnished him with an excuse for quitting. Love the kid.
   Calvin journals like I do. I have several of them describing in detail the first day of a trek or a trip…then nothing.

    Yeah, a story continuation is pretty rare for a Sunday comic.

    No guys, there’s no politics involved in this strip. Watterson didn’t get into it and the strips were all drawn years ago.

    Calvin reminds me of “Dubyah”. I can picture a little man with a “Commander Hat” flunking his leadership skills and getting mauled by his Scotty-Dogs, both whom could probably have done a better job.
