   That’s one of the laws of nature in Toonland. Cars never touch the road when moving. And you never fall after you run off a cliff until you look down and realize you have.

   If you check the speedometer in panel 1 it looks like he is doing about 50-60mph

    txmule: This strip was first published in a time before they had laws making kids wear helmets and knee pads to ride a bike, cross a street or even get out of bed. Remember the old saying, “What doesn’t kill me only makes me stronger.”??? Well, I feel sorry for this and future generations. They will grow up to be weak.

    We see in the 1st panel dad with his seat belt on, in the last panel neither Calvin or dad is sporting a seat belt. This is hazardous specially
    when the car is flying low……..
