   Mom is going to take the canoe and Calvin as soon as they get back, go to the car and then home, and leave dad to swim and hike home, he likes it so much.

    I went on a week long Kayak trip where it rained most of the time. It was actually very pleasant. No bailing, supplies stay dry inside the kayak, exercise keeps you warm. Just let the rain wash away any sweat. Hold your slicker over the kayak seat while disembarking and unloading.

    A raccoon broke into the kayak with our freeze dried vegetables, and went to the river for a drink. - where we found him with the expanding vegetables bursting out of his split stomach. (Don’t let your toddler get into freeze dried stuff.)
