   Why does it always rain when you go camping? I went the first time as a treat for my thirteenth birthday with my dad, my aunt, and my two cousins and it poured for two days straight so we left. Years later I went twice as an assistant to my son’s Cub Scout Troop and it poured on both those camp-outs. Except on the second camp-out there was a real treat, the wind blew all night with steady thunder and lightening. Besides the noise I kept thinking one of tent’s would be struck by lightening and we’d have, “Cub Scout Routiserre!” Good times! Good times!

   Marg. You must be in a motel in a Mexican desert town since, if I’m not mistaken, b&w tvs in motels have been outlawed here since the millennium.

   About raining when you’re camping, I once went on a 3 day camp and it didn’t rain… untill we had picked up everything. Naturally, being young and stupid at the time, I suggested we should dive into the tent, which, of course, we had just put away.

   Rain does make camping miserable, but I did call this two days ago.

    I’ve camped four times this year, and got rained on once. Not a bad average, I’d say.

    Motels, yes. Tents and sleepingon the ground. UH,UH, noway!
    Camping is not too much fun for me anyway.
