My husband died 6 years ago, and I feel just like Calvin does. But I am going to remember what Calvin said. We should all keep this in our hearts for the next time someone looses a loved one, be it a human or a pet. My compliments to the cartoonist for his sensitivity and compassion.
I lost my husband three months ago and I know his soul is in Heaven, but he will be forever in my heart. Last summer I lost one of my Persians. She too will always be in my heart. Sigh!
Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

A sad little tale. Our first encounter with death is a real rite of passage. One to use with my counselling students.

This is sad but SO true. I lost my beloved 15-year-old cat, Stiva, last week and this is just how I feel.
