Exactly. And their “patient’s bill or rights” is paraphrased “what the democrats proposed already (but since we lied about what it said this will look like it’s our idea)”

Yup. Notice how all the Republicans argue, “We don’t need health care reform, because you can always go to the emergency room”? I wonder how many of them realize they’re endorsing the most expensive, least effective kind of socialized medicine there is.

The republican view seems to be medical care in US must remain a profit-driven free enterprise system, not a patient driven wellness service

Yes we need a patient driven wellness service.

Waite a minute, that sounds like capitalism. The customer would be exercising free choice. Filthy Capitalists always want the best. I hope this will not cut back on government regulation and lawsuits. We need more regulators and lawyers because they are paid very well; which well help the economy.

When I was in the UK years ago, new doctors were required to work 100 hours a week. Their system is really good. The Obma could mandate all doctors to volunteer their time and limit it to 100 hours a week. Socialized health care is the best – FREE.

If you work, nothing is free.

Free- if you are in the bottom 46% of the American population you pay no Federal Income Tax, that is like zero. If the feds are going to pay for health care please explain how for these 46% health care is not totally free?

    B) Emergency rooms If you ever actually worked in one you quickly realize that a high percentage of the patients there for routine care actually have private doctors and private insurance or medicaid and an assigned physician. They go to the ER because it is at their convenience and they don’t have to take off from work. It is not because they have no other choice. Unless you realize that you will be amazed the ER bills don’t fall drastically after ObamaCare.

As is so common amongst people who are not knowledgeable about a subject you vastly misread what happened. The drugs they were “flogging” were perfectly suited for the purpose they were promoted and used.

You simply don’t understand the NDA approval process. If a company does tests on 3/4 intimately related conditions the FDA only approves their use in those exact 3 conditions. The drug works perfectly well in the 4th but wasn’t tested in that because it would greatly add to then time, expense and give no additional knowledge. All Pfizer did was promote in the 4th case where it worked perfectly. By law I as an individual physician can prescribe any medication as I please but the company cannot promote it.
