People are going hungry in the world Broomie and
    you’re throwing away food?

MARG! I’ve been working outside this past week
in the sun and now my arms are as red as an Indian.
Do you ever get sunburned living in AZ?

No, I use factor 50 sunblock. I’ve had skin cancer on my back already back in IL.

No, the problem is spoilage. Something the food activists ignore. I’ve seen activists try to claim that fruit that is in an advanced state of decomposition is just fine to eat. If they want to spend copious time in the latrine or even the hospital, that is their lookout, but they really shouldn’t be claiming that spoiled food is safe to eat.

A major problem of hte last 4 years or so is how canners went to chinese cans. Used to be that canned food would last about ten years unless it was strongly acidic like tomatoes. Now fruit and other items are not even lasting to the “best by” date with the lining of the cans eaten into and some cans noticeably bulged despite their relative youth. If the food activists wanted to do us a favor, they should lobby to end that practice, not lobby to get us to eat food that is decomposed or partly decomposed.
