    It’s a little better in colour; not much, but a little.

    With 40lbs of hair, why does he need a coat?

    My kid did that. I’d give him a hat, and he’d refuse to wear it till he was sure I was out of sight (I still watched). Then, as soon as the bus approached, he’d whip it off again so none of the other kids would see.

    I remember being told by my Dad that I should put on my winter boots before going to school because it was very cold out. I wore my boots and the other kids made fun of me wearing them until they started to whine to the teacher their feet were cold, but my feet were nice and warm. The teacher asked them why they were not wearing winter boots like me. After school, we were all sent home with a note to our parents about making sure children were properly dressed for the weather. The next day, the other kids were wearing winter boots so I said ha ha to them. They whined about me laughing about their winter boots to the teacher and I said well, you guys were laughing at me for wearing mine yesterday so I am not allowed to laugh at you for wearing winter boots. No one said anything.

    @swr

    I’m also from Tx (Corpus Christi) and there have been times I wished I had a parka (any time it gets below 40 degrees!).
