I think Broomie is being optimistic in this.

Broomie is trying very hard to put a positive spin on a negative. Me? I like Irwin’s gardening hat.

Maybe she should have rephrased that as ‘Give me a hundred bucks!’ whilst pointing her zapper casually in his direction ;)

But then that would be actual rather than figurative highway robbery.

Broomie, the word is “lend”, not “loan”. Maybe if you improved your grammar, you could earn your own money.

Maybe she could get Andy Capp to co-sign.

Does Gaylord get an Old Buzzard’s Pension? He certainly doesn’t work.

But, Broomie often has money and she doesn’t work either.

“Loan” is both a noun and a verb in modern times. Misuse of the noun as a verb has made it grammatically acceptable.

I have had people ask me to “borrow them some money” when they were really asking me to lend them some.

Nice to see that Gaylord is smarter than the folks at Freddie and Fannie.

What do you mean loan you money? Thought you could zap some and have no problem.
Besides, what you need money for in an enchanted forest, anyway?

    Ya know?
