    Might as well. Blockbuster is now history, thank God!

    It’s probably better coverage anyway.

    At least it wasn’t House of Cards… or is that what most insurance plans are anyway?
    (I enjoyed both versions of House of Cards, just thought it was a more appropriate title…)

    Read about Venezuela’s healthcare woes—they, too, have this “universal healthcare”. And the bottom line is, I don’t want MY tax dollars to pay for YOUR healthcare. Thanks for ruining Brewster Rockit for me today, by the way.

    It was the drug plan really sold him on it. Of course, it’s a little shallow. Got a cold? Take meth. ED? Take meth. Cancer? Meth. Meth addiction? Take meth. Some side-effects have been reported. Body sores. Rotten teeth. Sleeplessness. Death. Pretty much like all the prescription drugs.

    Okay, since others brought it up, here goes: Obamacare is the law of the land. It’s not perfect — we need SINGLE PAYER — but it’s a start. I have lived in Europe and everyone is covered for everything and they pay far less than we do. If you don’t like it, win an election or move to a country with no national health. I hear Turkey still has no national health.

    What’s not to love about a medical law, which has cost one million dollars for every man woman and child in the nation (300 Million+), is giving employers reasons to turn full time workers into part-time workers (and cutting the hours of part-time workers to under 30 hours per week), is giving people insurance plans that require the user to pay thousands of dollars in deductibles (making it too expensive to see a doctor except in a dire emergency), and that the creator has exempted himself and other members of the Government ruling class? Thanks to the new law, life will be unicorns and rainbows from now on.

    Because they only had “blockbuster” movies, overblown films with minimal plots and too much special effects. Not enough indie films with smart characters or foreign films, and teenager movies. And their rental prices were too high. They were offered the chance to buy Nextflix, but they passed. Reed Hastings started Nextflix, after Blockbuster charged him $40 dollars for an overdue film. Blockbuster is dying because Nextflix beat them at their own game. Also the film that you wanted to see wasn’t always there when you wanted to rent it. I won’t miss them

    @Sardonis

    I have no objection to my taxes paying for other people’s health care because I don’t want to be surrounded by sick people. In a similar way with education, I don’t have children but I don’t want to be living amongst uneducated people.
    .
    What I do object to is when immigrants who don’t pay taxes in this country get all the benefits that many nationals are denied.

    I was shocked when Blockbuster staff told me that a passport wasn’t proof of identity.

    My feelings exactly. It’s not right.
