If you can’t find some “expert” to tell you what you want to hear, you’re just not paying enough.

Use plenty of vegetables, whole grain crust, some protein, low sodium tomato paste, low fat cheese, you have a balanced meal.

Quit waiting. It’’s been a number of years but I once actually saw an article on the health benefits of pizza (probably put out by Pizza Hut).

You may have a balanced meal, but you hardly have a pizza.

My favorite swinging door “health” nonsense is eggs: first they are bad for you. Then they are good for you. Then they are bad for you. Then they are good for you….

    re: ryan

Low sodium isn’t good for you. The low salt craze is the product of activism, much as low fat, and veganism. Heart docs tell you flat out not to cut the salt. It and potassium are your main electrolytes and you can’t live without them. (I had a bad reaction to a medicine that temporarily messed up my heart action earlier this year. Heart docs are not what I expected.)

Wow. It takes a special kind of person to think that salt is a liberal agenda.

The fact is that salt is bad for some and not bad for others – depending on your genetic disposition. No heart doctor in their right mind would tell everybody to not cut their salt intake.

The negative studies on eggs are Eggsmen propaganda.

I have high blood pressure and kidney disease. Sodium IS bad for you. With kidney damage, one is told to cut back on foods with sodium and minerals. Kidneys are no longer able to filter out the minerals. And high blood pressure due to sodium causes further kidney damage. A healthy person is to have no more than 2 grams of sodium per day.

I have Type 2 Diabetes, so I also have to watch my sodium intake.
