    A couple of plucky little machines doing a great job…….Is it true that when they were launched we didn’t have technology to communicate with them where they are now? But now we do?

    I think that’s right, Varnes. The groundbased radio receivers have improved in sensitivity tremendously since those days, allowing us to still receive the incredibly weak signals from them at those distances.
    And I think it’s fantastic that both probes are working after all these years.
