    Stupidity MULTIPLIES.

    Unlike physical work, which adds. One guy can assemble 50 widgets an hour, another can do 60. Together, they can do 110.

    Stupidity, on the other hand:

    Assign each person from 1 to 10 points. 1=Stephen Hawking, 10=Gilligan.

    However many people working together, multiply their numbers.

    The U.S. Congress is thus 10 X 10 a total of 535 times….

    Shouldn’t stupid be based on results? I’ve met a lot of those who took party degrees who lost a lot of IQ points because of what they did to themselves. One guy I knew had no wisdom, despite a 221 IQ. Always getting into trouble, from Satanism to drugs. I doubt he has more than 150 now, thanks to 30 years of the latter. A person who is always messing up, doing the same stupid things, is stupid.

    Reputed to be a quote of Mark Twain, but I’ve heard otherwise.

    And if you can’t tell a big enough lie with statistics, use graphics.

    OMG – hire him for the OMB, now!!!!
    Will be able to blame the deficit on every President going back to FDR. And then there won’t be a deficit and all will be well – for more spending and taxing. So much better than the Tax and Spend Democrats of the past. (Yes, Obamacare IS a tax, unlike what you were first told to believe). Wait for the next Executive Press Conference to hear what you believe now.

    And a really stupid person believes anecdote = evidence. Also, anyone who understands IQ knows it does not indicate potential success at any given field except getting high scores on IQ tests.

    I knew a person with an IQ of 70 who got into all kinds of trouble from Christianity to drugs. So what?

    @ne7minder55

    Whilst anecdote may not equal evidence, sometimes it is all there is. An anecdote can be truth even when there is no evidence to support it. For instance, I brushed my teeth this morning. I cannot provide evidence for it, but it is nonetheless true. Also, the effectiveness of pain relief treatments must, in many cases, be based on anecdotal evidence as there is no scientific method to accurately measure pain.
