    Because most people aren’t sure of what a spleen is, and for some reason it sounds funnier than say, “oh my heart”, or “oh, my bladder”, etc.

    Besides, a person can live a fairly normal life without a spleen, not that Winky’s life is “normal”.

    And Mel probably is just cloning him in large numbers, to save the cost of organ transplants, insurance etc. etc….
