   I always thought that it was just a made up joke about dogs eating homework. Last Thursday, my stepson got home from a doctor visit & put his prescription paper on an end table. Within just a few minutes, his teething Collie pup had eaten about half of it. He had to go back to the doctors office for a new copy.

    I guess this joke is required, eventually, by every Far Side style cartoonist. Seen it with almost the exact same wording several times. Not saying rip off, just great minds think alike.
