Brevity is not only the soul of wit, it's also not your normal comics fare. In the hands of Dan, it is sharply intelligent, amusingly idiosyncratic and often uproariously funny.

Not that this creature isn’t predatory, but I think Mr. Thompson went with the wrong movie space alien. Joke fail.

It’s not easy to keep your space monsters straight when working under a deadline.

I think you’re right. The Predator was uglier when he took off his mask. However the creatures from Alien were equally predatory, but were not doing it for sport.

Wouldn’t the Aliens be more Parasitoidal?

These guys are probably a lot easier to draw.

This strip makes me feel alienated.

Since super-hero action movies bore me I never go to see them. Thus I do not get the joke.

Oh, this is sad. He went through all the trouble to acurately draw Ridley Scott’s “Alien” drone, but forgot that the Predator is a wholly different character. Research would have saved this one.

Their loan contracts say what the interest fees are. People who borrow from those places are dumb enough to deserve to be broke.

I got the joke, but I’m pretty sure the Alien creature is female.

If by super-hero you mean the likes of Superman, Batman, and Spiderman, then neither “Alien” nor “Predator” are super-hero movies. Don’t deny yourself the pleasure of two very exciting, very well-done movies based on lack of knowledge.
(That said, while I can also recommend the sequel “Aliens” with an S, the other follow-ons are not up to the same level of brilliance, so they are optional. I would also warn that “Alien” singular is, with “Jaws”, the scariest movie I ever saw, giving me nightmares for days. But don’t let that stop you.)

Hey, at least it’s sporting a “United Federation of Planets” tie.
