Thanks for the correct state colors. Rhode Island is sensibly a blue state. Colorado is a red state in the process of becoming blue, hopefully-kinda orange at the moment.
Rhode Island for sure is a real island – after which the state is named. Nothing wrong with that – New York state took its name after a city that started on an island.
And let’s not forget … What did Delaware? Idaho, Alaska.
You’re onto some reality, because I grew up there in R.I. , and you would not believe how many folk I’ve met thinking it was part of New York when they had in mind the picture of Long Island!

That TV show “How the States Got Their Shapes” is interesting although since it is on H2 I just view it as entertainment and not fact.
