That film obviously should have been rated D for no donuts.

Wait… there are three different authors for this strip and they still screwed this up. In this world they created, are the dounuts animate or inanimate? Because it looks like both which means they’ve just broke one of the most basic rules of story/comedy, “Don’t Negate the Premise”.

Maybe you’re not trying hard enough. :-)

    Re: “Don’t Negate the Premise”
I have a vague memory of these very cartoonists doing something very similar in the past month or two. It’s a bit of a stretch, but then, so are some of the story lines of Calvin & Hobbes and others. Comic minds need to be stretched.

    … or dunked

Who are you, “Kid Comedy Writer”?

It’s a comic: donuts don’t really talk or go to the theatre either

    Re: “Don’t Negate the Premise”

Better tell Walt Disney the rules. An upright walking and talking humanoid mouse, Mickey, has a humanoid pal dog, Goofy, as well as a typical pooch, Pluto. Go figure.

In any case, the ducks are funnier.
