June Brigman and Mary Schmich’s classic soap-opera strip was a pioneer: a comic featuring a strong female lead character. Brenda Starr’s adventures, if not a realistic portrayal of a reporter’s life, have nevertheless captured the imagination of millions of readers.

When are you going to wake up Carina. Your mother is a rat.

Carina, so sad, but Mama is bad…..

This all defies logic. Why would the tiger just eat Taj and Raj and not Caressa? This stretches my ability to suspend disbelief.
RobinaFox said, 15 days ago
Good grief, Taj and Raj are so feeble! Look at them just standing there like lemons!

I still can’t get Annie: only a penguin! Is there another site for her strip?

Ganesh, who was standing behind them yesterday will spoil her aim.
Note to the kid: Jams can be cleared.

HankF,
Go to the “find a comic” panel (at upper right) and select “Annie”. That way you bypass the Penguin.

Poison would have been a better weapon.

For Annie, you can also go to http://www.comicstripnation.com/annie/index.html

Hey Woodworker…be nice to rats!

Caressa is aiming a little high, isn’t she? Brenda is about the same height she is, and they seem to be on level ground.

hkohn……Got it! thanks for the help

Bill Weinberg:
The tiger would attack her as well; she was just planning on shooting it after it ate them. (Since her gun wasn’t really jammed)

Jogger2,
It’s all in the perspective…
Joe Allen Doty said, 15 days ago
In a recent strip, the tiger was behind Taj and Raj.
But, when it pounced on them, it was in front of them and came from behind Caressa.
Caressa is shown aiming the rifle above Brenda Starr’s head. She will have to lower it to have the rifle sights directed at Brenda to actually shoot her.
As a professionally trained artist and also a former art teacher, I say that the angle which the rifle is held has nothing to do with perspective.

The tiger was trained and handled by Caressa. He attacked those whom she wanted attack, and would not attack her.

I guess we’ll have to wait until Sunday to see that b!tch finally blown away.

If we’re lucky. This could go on for the whole next week for all we know.

Brenda always saves the day. This time is Carina.
