June Brigman and Mary Schmich’s classic soap-opera strip was a pioneer: a comic featuring a strong female lead character. Brenda Starr’s adventures, if not a realistic portrayal of a reporter’s life, have nevertheless captured the imagination of millions of readers.

Maybe now we will find out something about what is going on here.

Now what?
Bill Weinberg said, 27 days ago
Not likely. I’m still waiting to find out what the freak was going on in Kazookistan…

Caressa must still need Ganesh for some nefarious scheme she doesn’t want the brothers knowing about.
Maybe she’ll finish the “tiger” hunt by getting rid of the brothers. Ganesh is easier for her to manipulate and they both seem like hotheads.

Caressa should try out for the Indian Olympic shooting team.

They are flushing Brenda out of the bushes. Ganesh is the bait and Brenda fell for it. Watch your back Brenda!

As always, where is Salman fitting into all of this? Is he still bound and gagged? lol

And the brothers are oblivious to Ganeshs disappearance and a riderless elephant meandering about.

Thank heavens Carina is riding behind Caressa. Not an easy target.
All pretty incredible, but, hey, it’s a comic strip, not real life or great literature.
I think Pug will arrive, release Salman, and they will save the day.

Another prediction: Pug will adopt Carina.

Geez - next thing you know, we’ll find out that Caressa is harvesting black orchids with Basil.

Since Caressa is riding behind her ex-husband and his brother, either one of them could be next.
Caressa was riding on her elephant behind the other 3 elephants when she shot Ganesh and just wounded him.
This seems to be a typical kind of American story with a slight variation. Instead of Brenda Starr’s reporter job being out-sourced to India to be filled by an Asian Indian, she was out-sourced to an Indian newspaper.

Now, how the hell will Brenda get Ganesh to the hospital–they being in the middle of nowhere and her on foot?
Or will she just leave him there and continue trailing the “hunting party”?
It’s possible that this shooting was merely a means to distract Brenda, which means Caressa knows Brenda is following her.
Hmph! Some reporter!

Interesting that Ganesh knows that Caressa is a crack shot. Those two must go back a ways.
Susan001: I think you are right. Caressa shoots Ganesh to get Brenda off their track.
But what is the real purpose of this “tiger hunt” then?
I believe that Brenda will stay with them to find out. Otherwise, the story grinds to a complete halt.
(As opposed to the skyrocket pace it’s been keeping over the last month?)

Told ya, this gal knows her way around firearms.
Susan001 - Not just on foot, in the wrong shoes, remember?
