June Brigman and Mary Schmich’s classic soap-opera strip was a pioneer: a comic featuring a strong female lead character. Brenda Starr’s adventures, if not a realistic portrayal of a reporter’s life, have nevertheless captured the imagination of millions of readers.

Gweedo, I fear that you may be right….although supposedly they don’t know that she’s there.

No, I think it’s Garnesh that will be hunted. I like the way that her shoulder strap switched sides between the second panel and the third. The Kahn boys haven’t gotten any kind of answers from her yet. Seems their anger wore off quickly.

Brenda couldn’t eavesdrop - she doesn’t understand Hindi or whatever they’re speaking.

very observant, woodworker318 – maybe they flopped the final panel to keep the three panels aesthetically balanced. I don’t think it was drawn wrong – it was purposely flopped/reversed for some reason.

Oh no… Brenda’s about to go marching into the current Dick Tracy story!

Hunt Genesh, the elephant shaped god!

Well, I guess that with a “hunting” trip, this story arc will drag along at least several more weeks.
I wonder if it’ll cilmax around Christmas!

Puddlegum and Woodworker: I think the reason for the flip/flop is to prepare us for entering the Dick Tracy story. If Dick Locher (the writer) had made that flip flop, there would have been thirty flaming comments demanding his immediate dismemberment on grounds of senile dementia. Or at least revocation of his health insurance on the basis that his life was no longer worth paying for.
Sadly, Dick’s artist often makes those sorts of errors. Lots of comments on DT every day.

Hey, deadhead, I already claimed the Ganesh/hindu God connection but it can’t be more clear whom might accidentally get shot during this hunt, can it?
