June Brigman and Mary Schmich’s classic soap-opera strip was a pioneer: a comic featuring a strong female lead character. Brenda Starr’s adventures, if not a realistic portrayal of a reporter’s life, have nevertheless captured the imagination of millions of readers.

She’s a taker, not a giver.

I think she’s involved with the guy who’s tied up.

Good grief, there won’t be anybody left after Caressa gets finished.

See that bag of fertilizer in Panel 2? That’s what’s this story has been worth so far!
I was hoping that when the Khan brothers showed up, there would be some real ACTION.

Remember - Salmon (?guy who is tied up?) said that his mother liked Brenda. I’m betting that he is a good guy and maybe even Amma’s son.

@Susan: I thought the fertilizer bag symbolized what Carina was spreading on Ganesh.

Right now it looks like Caressa is having a cocktail party with every one standing around having drinks. Like Susan001, I also thought that there would be some action after the way the Khan brothers arrived, racing on horseback.

Now that Salman is tied up, Brenda can torture him by shaving off his fierce stubble.

Carina was born into a family of con artists.
Salman Mistry, the guy who is tied up with duct tape on his mouth, is a fellow reporter with Brenda.
The word FERTILIZER on that bag is just a reminder that Brenda and Salman are in the gardener’s shed. It has no connection with the content of this comic strip.

With Salman tied up he won’t blow Brenda’s cover. Don’t know if Salman is the bad guy yet. So far there are a lot of bad ones. With one Queen.

This would make a great movie. The little girl from “Slumdog Millionaire” as Carina.

Salmon is Caressa’s boy toy, and his mother wants a less toxic girlfriend for him (not sure Brenda fills the bill, but at least she is less homicidal).

I, too, am now thinking that Salmon is a good guy. But why doesn’t he find a way to let Brenda know? And when will they realize that Carina isn’t safe with Ganesh?????
Answers soon, pleeeze!

The way things are, it maybe that Ganesh is not safe with Carina
