June Brigman and Mary Schmich’s classic soap-opera strip was a pioneer: a comic featuring a strong female lead character. Brenda Starr’s adventures, if not a realistic portrayal of a reporter’s life, have nevertheless captured the imagination of millions of readers.

Raj seems to be poor so how did he buy the newspaper editor?
Susan001 said, 2 months ago
Maybe Raj spent all his money on that bribe. LOL

If the quote from the strip is, “RAJ told me his brother was scheming to develop the slum..,,:”, then wouldn’t TAJ be the brother paying all the bribes?

Maybe Rajtaj didn’t use money.

This puzzles me. Isn’t slum development a good thing?

I asked that same question before about where did Raj get his money if he was living in the slum.
Another thing, isn’t Raj supposed to be dead? That’s why Tag is taking care of his niece.
Development is not good if it throws the people living there out of their homes, no matter how bad they are. It seems that after the development only people with money can afford to live there.

I have a question - does anybody remember a female character named TASMIN from the mid-1970’s in this comic strip? I need to find it but have no clue where to look. I think it was Brenda Starr’s strip that she was in. It’s an Australian name (according to what I’ve been told” and I really need to find the comic strip it came out of.

Hmmm. I thought Brenda was supposed to be the smart one. This doesn’t sound like an investigative reporter. It sounds like someone who thinks that their way of thinking and reasoning is the only way of thinking and reasoning that the world has to offer.
