June Brigman and Mary Schmich’s classic soap-opera strip was a pioneer: a comic featuring a strong female lead character. Brenda Starr’s adventures, if not a realistic portrayal of a reporter’s life, have nevertheless captured the imagination of millions of readers.

Don’t know about that third test? Might it have something to do with the little urchin niece?

From the picture of Salman in the second panel of Sunday’s strip (sorry, just catching up), it looks to me like he’s the real villain of this ;piece. That back-turned, dark look that we can see but the other person can’t is a big hint.

Ray C: In looking at past strips, I noticed that “Brenda” in yesterday’s panel #1 doesn’t look like Brenda…wonder if anyone else agrees???

Maybe it has something to do with Bollywood dancing.

Dr. Strange gonna straight-up roofie her.
With his mind.

Strange for Taj to mention kissing (or failing to) as an advantage. In Indian culture kissing is a taboo, and You will not see it practised neither in movies nor in photografies.

Florchi: Brenda does look a bit different in that panel, but I think it’s more the angle than anything else. I do like that riveting gaze, though. Also, lots of sparkles in yesterday’s strip. I think June and Mary must have gotten a new batch!

Hmmm, somehow the words CASTING COUCH come to mind (Oh, sure, like I’m the only one in here who had that thought…LOL)
