June Brigman and Mary Schmich’s classic soap-opera strip was a pioneer: a comic featuring a strong female lead character. Brenda Starr’s adventures, if not a realistic portrayal of a reporter’s life, have nevertheless captured the imagination of millions of readers.

What happened to the real or normal Brenda Starr?

this is getting ridiculous. Is somebody on vacation or asleep at the wheel?

Now this is getting weird. I got a new Brenda Starr with my other email subs, after no updates or Brewster Rocket, so I thought the problem had been resolved. When I came here I find its still FUBAR.

I received today’s Brenda strip via e-mail as well, and was hoping this page would catch up with the missing strips. Contact gocomics again, I suppose.
Spoiler Alert! There was a huge clue in today’s strip: the artifact box Basil buried and unearthed is emblazoned with orchids–hence Basil’s need to have it.

UkGeo-haven’t heard the ol’ FUBAR in a while. We still used SNAFU in the Navy( and Army ). Any-one know of any other on-line source for this?
Bender_Sastre said, 10 months ago
I’ve heard that there are three levels or FU:
SNAFU: Situation normal: all F’d up
TARFUN: Things are really F’d up now
FUBAR: F’d up beyond all recovery

That sounds ‘bout right Bender( from what my combat addled mind can recall ). And BTW Brenda fans, here’s a link to to-day’s strip:

Looks like the bidding is up to 4BIIIILLLIIION DOLLARS! I’m still wondering who Trad is fronting the moolah for. Or vice-versa.

So here’s the deal – if you get your comics e-mail, Brenda Starr is back; if you look at them on-line, it’s still Brewster Rockit
So I’m content that I can read my strip, but sorry for all you who are only looking on-line.
And yes – I figured this box would be something to help Basil with his problem. Is that Trad hiding in the background?

Does anyone know where else online you can find brenda daily comics? my web searches aren’t coming up with much that doesn’t link back to gocomics. Any newspaper still carry it?!

Well, it took “only” a week, but all is back together. I send my letter to the CEO, Douglas Edwards, today…
Rabid emails work. I sent them to every email address I could find on the contact page (http://content.uclick.com/contact.html), and it seems like they’re fixing the links finally. December is correct, still waiting for January. Am writing a letter to Douglas Edwards, President and CEO/uclick, LLC/4520 Main Street/Suite 500/Kansas City, MO 64111, though. There is a real problem with customer service and communications that should be addressed. My dad used to say “go to the top.”

Still not Brenda. The other days seem fixed (try your browser refresh button), but Jan. 2 Brenda is still Jan. 2 Brewster Rockit. SIGH!
