    Oh puh-leeeze! “A woman I could love if she were not taken.” He’s only known her for a few days…and most of it she spent asleep drugged by the tea he gave her. What a sap! And “taken”? Perhaps he knows just what happened in Basil’s hideaway for two, that we, the readers, are only guessing at. And as far as that’s concerned, having a little tryst with your ex is a common enough occurrence, especially when both are single. It doesn’t mean you’re back together.

    I think Bixby was asking where did the people come from , not what they were doing there . If one looks at all the preceding panels since Brenda and Basil arrived , one should notice that the most seen in the background might be one couple . They probably didn’t open the doors until just a few minutes ago .

    Ringo is just playing with her mind. First, he was condescending when he said “For a smart woman you are so gullible” and then he misleads when he tells her he’s not flirting with her, and now he pretends he could love her. Lose him Brenda.

    New strips did appear in the Chicago Tribune on Monday and Tuesday.

    I notified GoComics that there was a problem with the site not updating via the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page, but it would probably get attention faster if all the other readers sent a message as well. I used “Brenda Starr Not Updating” for the subject of my message.
