    In those days nobody wore helmets, seat belts or had any other safety equipment. Those that survived were that much stronger for it.

    There was this one Far Side cartoon that showed Humpty Dumpty cracked open to reveal a giant pterodactyl inside. One soldier says to the other: “Look you TRY putting him back together again!!”
