    Yep, your Mom’s right kid…there he is in the red suit…I’ve seen the Christmas deco. up in the local stores for weeks…Instead of the 12 days of Christmas, it’s the 12 weeks….

    They were putting out Christmas Trees in late September at the local Lowe’s. I would say it’s at least 12 weeks long.

    @Doctor Toon

    I was at Walmart a few weeks ago and heard Christmas music. I couldn’t believe it.

    I walked into the Walmart in Warminster, Pennsylvania on August 12, 2002, looking for swimming pool chemicals on a hot, 90º day.
    Imagine my surprise when I saw their associates setting up their Christmas display!
    I sought out the store manager and told him, “It’s 3 weeks before Labor Day. Isn’t it way too early for Christmas stuff?”

    We’ve started avoiding any stores that start with the Christmas schlock before Thanksgiving. Plenty of other places to get stuff.

    Let’s see…. Halloween, (though not really a holiday). Thanksgiving, then Christmas. (or Winter Holiday to be PC). Seems to me they ALL involve turkeys. Namely those of us that buy all that junk.

    You mean the hundreds of millions of people who have celebrated Halloween for all these decades weren’t “really” celebrating a holiday?

    The K -MART here started playing Christmas music before Halloween.

    Actually, Walmart had one section with Halloween stuff and one aisle over was Christmas stuff! They didn’t even wait until Halloween was over! :/
