The Income Tax Amendment is one of the greatest mistakes in the Constitution. At least Prohibition eventually got repealed.

That’s right. “Income Tax” was found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, hence the 16th Amendment. What I don’t understand (haven’t looked into it, actually) but how did they get 2/3rds of the states to ratify this amendment?

The Prohibition amendment may have been repealed. Unfortunately, we still have prohibition – but unconstitutionally (no amendment). It’s called the War on (some) Drugs. Republicans use it to trample the 4th amendment, while Democrats work on destroying the 1st and 2nd. The Bill of Rights is almost gone.
