I checked, they don’t carry stakes or silver bullets.

I always thought that Frankenstein’s Monster started out in Germany* – so why is a Romanian hardware store selling neck bolts (and, in any case, they weren’t bolts, they were electrodes).
*Victor Frankenstein built his creature while attending the medical school of the University of Ingolstadt in Bavaria.

Chain store. Don’t you hear them rattling?

I think it is mainly because most people here assume that anything from that genre of writing is all based in that geographical area.
And given the sad state of today’s education, it was “dumbed-down” so that the masses that would read would easily understand it.

You install the neck bolts with a Transylvania Twist.

Be careful if you’re hammering them in or you might Mash your Monster….or your own thumbs!

I was thinking more Monster Mash, but the Batusi fits right in there.

Frankenstein’s monster was quite a social creature (think of the Mel Brooks version), and he may well have visited Transylvania often. Or, as Gray said, it’s dumbing down. You know, ‘if you’ve seen one monster you’ve seen them all’.

That’s why they have them marked down half-price. There’s no demand for them in Transylvania.
